Enodia Events & Rituals illuminates the way through life’s crossroads for queer individuals, families, businesses, and communities.
We offer structure and planning for queer individuals, families, businesses and communities moving through major life rituals, milestones and celebrations. We collaborate with queer folks professionally and personally to execute meaningful, intentional, and rich rituals and celebrations for life’s major milestones.
OUR VISION
At Enodia LLC, we dream of, and work toward, a future where queer individuals and families have a robust scaffolding of social support, ritual resources, and gathering models which enrich queer lives through meaningful and vibrant celebration, grief, remembrance and pride. We believe rituals are communal experiences and actions we use to connect with each other, to mark major transitions and traumas, to remember history and experience belonging, and to participate socially and meaningfully in celebration and commitment, grief and remembrance, remorse and atonement, and visioning and creating. We hope to provide events and rituals for queer communities that are experientially rich, thoroughly planned, and deeply intentional. We honor your passion, your vision, and your most human experiences by honoring your queerness as essential and consistently finding ways to channel the most ‘you’ you into your celebration, brand, work, or gathering. At Enodia, we hold the torch to guide you on your chosen path forward at every intersection.
Travel & our Service area
Enodia Events & Rituals offers services nationally. We are based in Frederick, Maryland and offer in person services primarily in the DMV radius, including Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. We also work with clients out of Nashville, TN as a “hub” to continue serving queer clients there and to continue to make these services available to the community we launched in.
We have travelled to work with clients in over 10 different states and want to hear your needs and ideas to work together!
For in person services between 2 and 4 hours from Frederick, MD we add a $1/mile for driving and an overnight accommodation fee to your package.
Mileage for a 2-4 hour radius from Frederick, MD: $1/mile
Overnight Accommodations Fee: $200/night
Should an event be more than 4 hours drive from Frederick, MD we require and charge to the client a round trip flight for each of your booked Enodia team members and an overnight accommodation fee for each team member. We work with you to keep these costs as minimal as possible (including using as minimal staffing as possible) and to be creative in travel plans to get to you and make your event everything you want it to be on your budget. If you have questions about our travel fees and service area please reach out to us to discuss.
We have done weddings and events in personal livings rooms, state parks, local parks, churches, restaurants, schools, private micro-hotel rentals, a natural pool at the bottom of a hike-in waterfall, luxury hotels, and large Nashville music venues. We’ve served family and friends, professional athletes, professional musicians, fellow queer business owners and wedding industry professionals, and everyone in between. Tell us your vision!
Sliding Scale & Financial Accessibility
Some of our values at Enodia are collaboration, labor justice, and solidarity. We recognize that catering our services primarily (but not exclusively!) to queer folks means that our clients will disproportionately have less access to financial resources for celebrations and rituals due to intersectional class marginalization. In an effort to consistently honor our labor and to make our work as accessible as possible we take the following steps:
we offer custom sliding scale rates on a need-centered basis (please ask in your consultation or via email to discuss further if this is an option you need)
we maintain (when possible) a Ritual & Event Solidarity Fund for clients who have extra to spend and would like to donate to make our services accessible to another client who does not have enough to cover the cost of a package with Enodia
we offer our Community Partner discounts to likeminded orgs, businesses, groups, etc.
we routinely host free offerings virtually and in person to back our belief that access to ritual and structured celebrations should be accessible to all and to honor that our labor is worth more in community value than it ever will be in dollar value.
